The first step in adopting a puppy is to tell us a little bit about yourself. The questionnaire in the "Contact Us" section of our website links to our e-mail and is a great first contact. When we receive your email, we will email you in return to let you know that you are on our waiting list and may contact you for additional information. Once on the waiting list, you will be contacted as to when we have our open houses where you can meet us and have an opportunity to meet our dogs.
Based on the individual puppies' personalities, we will help select a puppy for you according to your situational needs (single, married, kids, no kids, etc.) because we will know these puppies better than anyone. They are raised in our house with us and get plenty of attention and socialization. We send our puppies home at 8 weeks. At this time, they will have been vet checked, wormed, micro-chipped and be up-to-date on all of their shots.
To adopt one of our puppies, we require that the puppy will live with you in your home for the American Mastiff is a breed that is happiest when with its family members. We also require that you agree to early socialization, ongoing dog training and to spay or neuter your puppy at the appropriate age.
Note: We will NOT ship a puppy. It is too traumatic for them at such a young age to be stowed in cargo. However, if you are willing to fly here yourself and fly back with the puppy in the cabin with you, this is an acceptable mode of transport. We are just about one hour from three airports: Dulles International and Reagan International, both in Washington D.C. and Baltimore/Washington Airport in Baltimore, MD. We can make arrangements to meet you at the airport if you are flying in and immediately back out in the same day.
